I'm Doug Jackson, and welcome to my company, Genesis Modules.

We are a boutique manufacturer of fun Eurorack Synthesis modules located in Canberra, Australia. All of our modules are hand made using the highest quality components.

I've wanted to make my own synth since my childhood when my world was filled with a soundscape from artists such as Kraftwerk, Devo, Nik Kershaw and of course Jean Michel Jarre, all of whom filled the world with beauty. But for some reason, making a synthesizer was just that step too far, so much complex metalwork, so many potentiometers and it just takes up soooooo much space.

I have a background in Electronic design and manufacture and spent quite a bit of time working with micro-controllers. I discovered the Eurorack universe, with manufacturers such as GMSN! and Mutable Instruments and I realised that with all of my own manufacturing equipment from my other hobby of making clocks I was in a position where the task ahead is no longer scary, it is actually invigorating! Now is the time to combine all of the things. The Eurorack universe is so convenient, modules are much more workable than the 8.75" Moog standard, so Lets go!!

Well... As my logo tries to encompass, our lives can have areas that are bright shining suns; stars that spur our imagination; enticing horizons and deep cool rivers. Every one of these areas is a metaphor for something that I personally cherish. I look at Genesis Modules as a new horizon to extend my creative efforts in a field that I have previously only dreamt about, creating music with things that I have built. This is truly a Genesis moment for me.
